Heil HM-5™ "Handi Mic" for the FLEX-1500

Finally the hollow, clamshell sound from other communication microphones is gone with the Handi Mic and it is only 4" tall!

For years, Bob Heil has been working on eliminating the hollow, clamshell sounds of the hand microphone. There is no argument, when you place a high quality microphone element inside a shell; the end result sounds like you are talking from the bottom of a barrel!

HeilSound designed a very special open sorbothane shock mount that puts the various Heil microphone elements in the open, not encased in a shell. This results in the cleanest, clearest and most articulate hand microphone - EVER! The low handling noise and exceptional cardioid pattern makes the Handi Mic ideal for mobile or portable use.

The PTT button is ergonomically located at the top of the HM-5 body for effortless keying of your transceiver.

The HM-5 Handi Mic contains the full-range communication HC-5 element which is perfect for "rag chewing". Engineered with a frequency response designed for a fuller range of articulate voice clarity. Not mushy, bassy, paging type audio, but clear, easy to understand SSB audio. This element actually places a +6dB rise @ 2KHz (a frequency the human ear is highly responsive to).

Note: When ordering, make sure you select the proper cable for the FLEX-1500 since it uses a 8-pin RJ-45 connector rather than the 8-pin Foster connector.
